Three thousand three hundred feet above sea level, on sand and caliche, one family planted the vineyard that taught Texas what it could grow. Everything we bottle still starts there.
Who is Reddy Vineyards?
Reddy Vineyards is a family-owned Texas vineyard and winery founded in 1997, and now the second largest vineyard in the state. It farms roughly 350 acres at 3,305 feet on the Texas High Plains, growing 34 varietals, and makes wine at an on-site winery under three brands: Reddy Vineyards, Reddy Wines and La Chancla.
01 — The Order of Things
Land first.
Before the labels, before the medals, before anyone in this state was taken seriously as a winegrower — there was the dirt. Dr. Vijay Reddy, a soil scientist by training, read the High Plains the way other people read a map, and planted where the numbers said to plant.
Thirty years on, the vines he put in the ground supply many of the wineries you already know — and the estate is now the second largest vineyard in Texas. We farm it, we crush it, we bottle it. Vertical from the root up.

Each brand answers to a different table — the winemaker’s, the collector’s, and the everyday one. All three are grown on the same ground.
03 — How It Gets to You
We don’t hand it off.
We left the big distributor and took delivery back. Today our own trucks run Texas — one case or fifty, on-premise and off — out of Brownfield, Stonewall, and Dallas. No middleman, no missed drops, no waiting on someone else’s route.
For a buyer, that means the person who answers the phone is the person who grew it, made it, and is bringing it. That is the whole pitch.
